Actions and Listening Suggestions:

Rainbow Waiting For Me

This beautiful ballad is perfect for a rainy day or to settle down the class. A full choral arrangement of the song is also available.

The actions for the chorus are as follows (they are easy to do but difficult to describe):

1) "There's a rainbow..." Extend your arms out in front of your body with your palms together then lift them up and apart over your head making a big rainbow in the sky (do this two times)

2) "And as sure as I'm singing...the sun..." Extend your arms downward with your palms up and then slowly lift them upward until they meet over your head to form a "Sun" above your head

3) "I really don't mind the rain" Bring your hands apart above your head and slowly wiggle your fingers as you bring them down like rain. Then rest them in your lap.

Try to make all of the hand motions as large, flowing, and graceful as you can. Point out how visually beautiful it is when the whole class does it together.
