Dear Goldilocks and Poppa Bear [aka Judy & David]

We had a blast [at the GoldiRocks musical on stage]. Our son Quinten not quite 4 years of age took his Mom and Dad out to one of your shows in St Jacob's on August 17th.  It was very entertaining for both the young at heart and those just a bit older.  I must say it was not only fun to watch you all on stage, but also my son in the third row laughing and giggling as you preformed.

Quinten also had fun trying to take your picture out in the lobby with his blue camera, unfortunately the picture he took was blurry of the two of you.  Nonetheless, we have your poster you signed up on his bedroom wall nicely framed.

Thanks again for a great time.

Quinten's Dad.
Frits W.

[Note from J&D: GoldiRocks will return to the stage this spring. For more info see our concert info page HERE.]

Hi Judy and David

My daughter loves your show very much. It is only on two minutes a day on Tree House but she waits in anticipation every morning. She would like to know if you have an address so she can send a drawing to Judy and David.

Thanks
Erin (Emma's mom)

[Note from J&D: Best to send things via email to mail@judyanddavid.com. Our 'other' address is: Box 32222, Harding P.O., Richmond Hill, ON, L3T 5N2]

Dear Judy & David -

Hi!We love Pigmania so much. We are curious about the wolf's voice.... is that David? we know he's probably Frankie and woody but the wolf too??

Thanks,
Nikki & Annie G

[Note from J&D: Yes, David voices the wolf on the PigMania and Red's In the Hood CDs. The voice is electronically altered to sound lower, so it's hard to tell that it's him. Canadian actor Ron Boyd plays the wolf in the PigMania and Red's in the Hood stage productions.]

Dear Judy and David,

We really love your show, your songs are very catchy. My daughters love your show. My youngest is almost 2 and its one of her favorites. So just a thank you for having a great show. Too bad its not on more or longer.

...You're doing a great job. In a world of Computer animation and global domination by the likes of Dora (!) it's lovely to see a enthusiastic couple singing and entertaining our kids. Keep up the good work.

Hope to see you at a live show soon....

Best Wishes,
Rabab K

Dear Judy & David,

I took my grandson to your show at the Center in the Square in Kitchener. We have gone a few of the childrens programs there, and yours was the best by far. Javan is almost 5 and he wanted to go again at night.

Faeona R.

I attended your concert at the Savoy Theatre yesterday with my daughter Bailey and her friend Emma.

I have been to many children's concerts over the years as I have a nine year old also but I have never enjoyed a performance as much as the one you put on at the Savoy. It was very interactive and enjoyable. I have never seen so many parents as well as children get involved in the show and have so much fun. I talked to a few parents afterwards and they agreed with me. I hope we have another opportunity to see you in the future.

Thank you again for such a wonderful performance and I'm sure my daughter will remember it for years to come I know I will.

Yours Truly,

Lisa H

My daughter literally wakes up in the middle of the night asking to watch Judy and David. Its very cute.

Thanks,

Marissa M

I just want to say thank you for offering an engaging alternative to the junk out there for kids. My daughter (Isabella) who is going on 8 enjoys your music, and i thank you and your efforts. You have the rap and aggression-filled commercial music scene beat hands down.

Rhea

My kids and I attended your performance in the Comox Valley. They really enjoyed it. Catherine, my four year old especially liked playing the trick on David! I really appreciate the amount of energy that goes into entertaining all those little ones. Thank-you.

Calia G.

My daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed your Pigmania show at the City Playhouse. It was their first theatrical experience and I think are hooked for life!

Thanks so much,

Judith S.

Hi:

My daughter and I just saw your show today in London. It was amazing. My daughter was clapping, squealing and waving her arms in excitement. Just a little info on my daughter, Carrie. She is 26 years old and severely developmentally challenged. We use the wheelchair for outings and long walks, she is able to walk. She can only say a couple of words but communicates using a few signs, gestures and sounds. She lives at home and we have support workers during the day so my husband (of 6 years) and I can work. I have created a life for her that is about music, fun and experiences.

No matter her age your DVDs and CDs will remain a very big part of her life. For her, you are her friends. For me, you are a much needed break during a rainy Sunday and a comfort during an occasional sleepless night. I hope you continue to perform and we will see you the next time you are in London.

See ya, Bonny K.

Hello Judy and David,

My name is Katie I am Five years old. I loved your show. The show was very great. Judy and David I love you, you are the best people in the whole wide world. I loved your CD's, we listen to them everyday. I hope to see your show again.

Love Katie (5 yrs old)

Hi Judy & David!!

Although we live two hours away, we have made plans to see you in New Glasgow. In fact, we're going to make a weekend adventure out of this. Myself and Katie (the five-year old fan) will take the train to Truro (her FIRST !!) while Daddy drives up in the car. We'll spend the night in a cool hotel, and then travel to New Glasgow on Sunday to see your show!

We have tickets to see Michael Flatley in Celtic Tiger for Monday the 3rd (in Halifax) ... Although Katie is a big fan of Riverdance and desires to be the next Jean Butler, she said she didn’t want to see Michael if she couldn't see you !! There goes a $100 ticket ! :}

Looking forward to your show,

Mary Karl and Katie

Dear Judy and David,

My name is Jack. I am three years old. My Mom, Dad and I went to see you in New Glasgow today. We really enjoyed the show.
My favorite part of the show was when David saw the biggest Boom Box, he scared him and he fell down. We bought a DVD and two shirts, one for me and one for my little brother Michael. I put on a shirt as soon as I got home and played my new DVD on our computer.
You may remember me, my Dad was carrying me out, I was too shy to go over to where you were sitting, but I said "Thanks" and "Goodbye".
Thank you for coming to New Glasgow. I hope you can come back again sometime soon.

You new friend,

Jack

Hi Guys!

Just wanted to say that we got to your New Years Concert in Barrie, and you were just great! We all loved it...the kids too...LOL! My husband was commenting frequently afterwards about how much talent you both have, and you really put on a great show, even when you're half frozen!!!! Just how did David play that guitar with gloves on, my hubby wants to know?! Bagel was really cute, and the kids loved hearing many of your familiar songs from your DVD's! So much fun...what a blast!

We didn't get the chance to meet you afterwards, as the kids were too cold and tired, but hope to see you again soon at a warmer indoor concert...I'm on your site to check out your upcoming schedule. Hope you do another DVD soon...we have all 3 of your current ones.

Thanks, and Happy New Year to you both!

Stephanie U., Barrie, ON

Hello Judy and David!

We just wanted to say thank you so much for the new years eve celebration last night! We have a 6 year old, 2 year old and a 6 month old and we went down to the Barrie festivities. Our kids faces lit up when you came onstage! And the boom box was a huge highlight for them as well! Thanks for making their evening so great! Your TV program is a huge hit in our house.

Thanks again!

Sarah R. and family

Hi Judy & David!

I had so much fun at your 4pm concert in Ottawa yesterday!! It was my very first concert and I had such a great time! I clapped and tried to sing along, and I even got up and down when Judy was playing that funny joke on David!! My mom & dad also had a great time and said that it was such a pleasure to meet both of you. We all enjoyed the show so much that they bought me the Treasure Chest DVD AND the Rock n' Roll Matza Ball CD! We listened to the CD in the car today, and watched the movie twice already!!Thank you so much for signing a poster for me - it is now hanging in my room! It was also so nice of both of you, after such a long day, to spend time with me and with my friends at the Jewish Federation of Ottawa's pizza party! What a fantastic evening it was for everyone...And your new baby issoooooo cute - mazel tov! I can't wait until you come to Ottawa again - my parents promised that they will get tickets again whenever that is. Until then I will enjoy my DVD and CD. Thank you again for such a wonderful and special day - I will not forget it.

Your friend & fan,

David S., age 2-3/4

Dear Judy and David:
My name is Susan M. and I am writing to you from Newmarket. I took my children to your show at the Newmarket Theatre last year, and they have been jumping off the sofa to Jet Airplane ever since. Your music brings much laughter, singing and dancing to our home.

Susan M.

Hello Judy & David.

I love you Judy. David is funny. I loved your show.(Ottawa). Can you come again?I would love you to see you show again. I love you both.

Love

Rebecca

Dear Judy and David,

Me (Brandon) Emily H. and Britney (my sis) LOVE YOUR SONGS! We really love the song BE A SNAKE. We think Boomy is really silly. We think u r (cool). Well, really have to go now cuz we don't wana miss your movie.

We love you!!!!

Brandon, Emily and Britney

Dear Judy and David,

We live in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, USA (near Philadelphia). We saw your concert at Adath Jeshurun Synagogue (Elkins Park) more than a year ago and purchased a DVD. My 6 year old daughter (Emily) likes to watch this DVD often, but my 21 month old (Aden) is totally obsessed with it! Now we have 2 DVD's. He has been singing way before he started talking. His way of asking to watch your DVD is by singing the "all together now" song by singing La la la clap clap etc. And recently he started to say Judy which sounds more like "doodee". You should feel special, because you are the only non- family person whose name he can say. So he insists on watching your DVD's every day and he has no attention span for any other movies yet. We are now about to purchase a 3rd DVD because you are both such a big hit in our house.
So, if you will be performing on the east coast in the future please let me know.

Sincerely,

Your Fans in Pennsylvania

Joel, Jennifer, Emily and Aden D.

Dear Judy & David,

Yes! On my fourth and last long distance call. Some wonderful woman at a Pharmasave agreed to hold 4 tickets for me. It was a scary 2 hr drive given the horrible high winds that day..but we got there! When I got to the drugstore the clerk said that the person that collects the ticket box and money had been in a half hour before...and she wouldn't let them have the box. She said "nope, can't have it, a family is driving in from Moncton area". I am so grateful to her...if she hadn't held tickets for me we would never have made that drive. I never even told the kids where we were going, I didn't want to excite them incase something went wrong and we couldn't get in. My son was BEYOND excited when I handed him that ticket. I'm still smiling, I feel like supermom today.

By the way...the show was fantastic!

Thanks.

The C. family

We went to the morning show in Quispamsis and my little girl (Nadia) had a blast! She firmly believes that you came all this way just to see her! She was so excited to actually get to talk to you after the show and get her picture taken with you. We bought a copy of the "Songs for the BoomBox" CD and it's been playing in our van every since (I don't think I'll ever get to hear the radio again :-)). She also got one of your T-shirts and she has even slept in it, she hates that I have to wash it.

Anyway, I'm sure you get emails like this all the time but I just wanted to let you know how much what you are doing means to kids! Nadia is still asking me daily when you will come back to see her. I've explained that you live far away and that this was your 1st time being here so I'm not sure if or when we will see you again. I sure hope if the opportunity comes up you will consider coming back!

I am a mother of a special needs child, Meghan. Meghan is a child with down syndrome. Meghan is now 5 1/2 years old and just started walking 1 year ago. She has loved watching Judy and David and owns most of the DVDs. Your music has been a great motivation for her when we were working on standing, she would always get off the couch, leaning against it, and wiggle to your music.

We really loved the show Red's In The Hood. It was great! We keep singing all of the songs! Even my little brother Shayne sings Stay on The Path.My Daddy pretends he's BBW!

Love,

Halle

Hi! Judy and David,

This March we had the pleasure of attending Red's in the Hood at the City Playhouse. We were the really crazy ladies in the front with our girls. Everyone had a blast. We purchased the CD afterwards and my 5 yr old daughter has not stopped playing it. I believe she has memorized all the words. Keep up the great work and we hope to see you next year at Beanstock.

Sincerely,

S. F.

My name is Nikki. I am 4 years old. I like the music that you play. It makes me feel happy. I really want to see you sing. When are you going to come to Ottawa? My sister is one years old and her favourite song is I Love Jumping Up and Down. My favourite song is the Rainbow Song from Judy and David's music shop.

Judy & David I love you.

Nikki Jo E.

Hi Judy and David!

I have a nine year old autistic daughter and she just loves your music. She sings along with the tunes and dances to your music. I just wanted to thank you for all the great work you do. You make it easy to remember that everyone loves music whether they have autism or are in a wheelchair. It is a universal thing.

Best wishes

Delphine Bell

Dear Judy and David,

I went to your concert in St. Catharines on Saturday and I had a lot of fun. My favourite song was All Together Now. I sing it all day and all night. I always pretend to have concerts at home with my mom and my brother. We always sing Judy and David songs. I have lots of your tapes and DVDs. I also went to see your concert "Reds in the Hood" and "Pigmania".I can't wait to see Beanstock. I love you Judy and David. I always go to your website too.

See you

Love Marcus

Dear Judy & David,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your music and dancing. My son was diagnosed with a rare immune disorder called SCID. Once he got well we sat and waited in a hospital room for 8 months then once transferred to Toronto sick kids for three more months during his bone marrow transplant. Chemotherapy was a treatment he also had to go through for his therapy. Now we are home and struggle ever day but do you know what has gotten us through this whole year and at home? Judy and David DVDs. I only have treasure park and choo choo trains but they are are saviour. My son quiets down (his medicine makes him very antsy) and on days of his chemo (some bad days, some sick day etc) I put on Judy and David and he starts to move and quiet down and humm along. I can't tell you enough how shocked I was, but we still use the DVDs at home to help him relax. My daughter who is almost 4 is enjoying the singing and dancing too getting up and doing the movements. Evan will be 2 in September and I can't wait to see his face when we give him Judy & David PlayGround Jam.

Thank you for the music and please keep it coming.

Donna, Jim, Olivia and Evan G.

At the end of March, I brought my 7-year-old daughter and her friend to see Red's in the Hood at the Centre in the Square in Kitchener. Among our purchases that evening was the Math Jam 2 CD. I just have to comment on the "Except for Harold" song.

There aren't many people who could write a song about data management. In fact, I have a hunch that NOBODY else has written a song about data management. Not only did you manage to pull that off, but you also have a social values lesson in there.AND it's great music, too! Both my daughter and her older brother have enjoyed that song so much, that I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY HEARD THE END OF THE CD YET. That's right: over the course of nine or ten weeks, they've wanted to replay the Harold song so often, that we haven't even heard the all of the songs on the CD. They've slipped a few times, and let it get to "The Day All the Rulers Reappeared" just often enough for that catchy tune to stick in my head. Yesterday, I heard part of the "Dimes and Pennies" song for the first time. I can't wait to hear the rest of the CD!

Laura Z. BMath, BEd

Hi Judy and David:

I am a teacher who has been using your Math Jam K CD in my JK/SK classroom. (I teach at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Toronto)I wanted to let you know that the songs have proven to be valuable tools for teaching mathematics concepts in my Kindergarten class. This term we focused on learning 2D and 3D shapes, and so the children have listened toyour Track 3 and Track 5 songs related to these concepts. In particular, the class is very disappointed if we run out of time before dismissal andcan't play "Shapelock Holmes". You would love to see my class up on their feet, drawing the shapes in the air along with the song, dancing and singing along with every word. They really get into it! The best part is that I was doing some assessments today, and all of my class, including my very young Junior Kindergarten children, were correctly able to name the four basic 2D shapes, as well as the cube, cone and sphere. There's no doubt in my mind that your songs played a key role in helping my class to acquire this term's mathematical concepts - songs that they begged to hear everyday! Many thanks, and keep up the wonderful work!

Carol B., Toronto

Dear David and Judy,

I play the Grade One Math Jam CD for my students and I must say your songs really get them involved. They often ask for the songs to be repeated and they get them up and moving.

Sincerely,

Denise M.

Hi Judy and David,

I just wanted to congratulate you on a beautiful Cd. I have two kids,(almost 4 and almost 2 & one on the way!) and I bought them the Rock and Roll Matzah Ball Cd for Chanukah. We all love it. The kids love dancing to it and are asking to put it on all the time.
Koren K.

Hello! I just want to say our family loves your music very much. I often think of your song "Wide Open Arms" when one of my five children falls or is scared at night. Your music is usually playing everyday with someone singing or dancing along.
