I See It

by Noah Tomlin, age 9

When I see it, it turns cold
Never mind, the man that's bold
I have seen him for no reason at all.
One day I asked him, "Would you like to play ball?"

Believe me, he refused blushing and drumm'n
Then I drooled, my heart already started thummp'n
Then I walked away, sad & tired
When my mother heard about the man, I was fired.

My head dropped, feeling bad & sad
Then I visited the man like a detective lad.

When I got there, the man recognized me
He said, "Hello", then executed a flee.
When he turned to face me, he told me his life
Then he smoked on an old fashioned pipe.

Back at the house, Mom called me over
Since I was a poet, I didn't come, she fell over.

Finally I came home, & saw that Mom fainted
I whispered in Mom's ear "From now on, do not faint".

Mom woke up, by those words & told me about her cat, who died by purrs.

Now that's the story of the man & I
Now should we have a piece of pie?
