On June 9, 1996 at 1:00 p,m, a fund- raiser took place. Raving Ryan did a concert. Not only was this Raving Ryan's debut but this concert earned $39.85 for the Canadian Hyperlexia Association. Demonstrating a remarkable poise, Raving Ryan led a crowd of friends, family and fans in dances and in songs written by his agent, Tamara.
Raving Ryan is a natural performer, interacting with his audience and ad-libbing. Particularly popular songs were the Hippy hoppy Dance and a clever number called Work It Out. Though Raving Ryan was clearly in the main act, his agent, Tamara wrote all the songs and directed the concert. Following the performance, the performer and his guests enjoyed refreshments: popcorn, assorted goodies and lemonade and retired to the pool.. A great time was had by all. Tamara, Raving Ryan's agent decided to raise money for the CHA because her brother is Hyperlexic and she thought it was a good cause.
