- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kids' Stars Make Chanukah HipToronto: Back by popular demand, Juno award winners, Judy & David are returning with their second consecutive large-scale children's Chanukah concert in which they will once again search for the real meaning of Chanukah through their infectious high-energy song and dance. Their combination of original songs and traditional Chanukah melodies is guaranteed to keep audiences rocking.
"Last year's concerts were such a huge success," says David. "We knew that this was a special concert that our Jewish fans would look forward to seeing every year. There are so many different types of Christmas productions at this time of year but none of this magnitude with a Chanukah theme. So we took a gamble that people would really like to celebrate this wonderful festive holiday with their families by attending a show like ours." This year's Chanukah Party will be even bigger and better with songs from their popular "Rock 'N Roll Matzah Ball" CD and their hit kids' TV show "Judy & David's Boom Box", now seen five days a week on Treehouse TV. The concerts will also feature the delightful sounds of the CharActor's childrens choir, Boomie the Boom Box, The Magic Menorah, special effects, and lots of new surprises.
In the past year, Judy & David have played for thousands of fans across North America. They have even performed their very successful Symphonic Adventure concert with many of the major symphony orchestras such as the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa. At this year's Juno awards, two out of the five albums nominated for Best Children's Recording were Judy & David's. They are also being honoured with SOCAN's children's music award marking their music as the most publicly performed children's compositions in Canada.
