Judy & David Earn Fourth Juno Nomination for Children's Album of the Year
Judy & David, the award-winning video and recording artists and stars of "Judy & David's Boom Box" television series, have earned a 2003 Juno nomination for Children's Album of the Year. BeanStock, is a modern, musical spin on the classic children's story of Jack & The Beanstalk and features a special guest appearance by pop superstar Jann Arden. Its blend of original songs spans the musical spectrum, from pop to folk, from rap to rock 'n roll - all served up with Judy & David's infectious brand of humour.Jack & The Beanstalk has never sounded like this before...Jack meets the dazzling Georgina Wizard (Jann Arden), trades in the cow for a bag of musical beans, climbs a gigantic beanstalk and meets a jazz-loving giant. After he restores his family's fortune, the beans celebrate with the biggest concert this side of Woodstock.
BeanStock is Volume 3 in Judy & David's acclaimed Once Upon A Tune series which also includes PigMania, GoldiRocks and Red's in the Hood. The duo won the 1998 Juno Award for Best Children's Album for their CD Livin' in A Shoe. Last year they earned a rare two Juno nominations in the same category for Red's in the Hood and Songs From the Boom Box.
The CD version of BeanStock, like all of Judy & David's CDs, includes an enhanced CD-ROM feature containing a bonus music video, interactive games, song lyrics and other activities.
This year, Judy & David are celebrating their 10th anniversary and will be performing two concerts at the Toronto Centre for the Arts on May 4th as well as launching three new DVDs.
BeanStock is marketed by The Children's Group and is distributed by Warner Music in Canada, and Atlantic Records/WEA in the U.S.
