It's one of the best kids shows out there:
One of the best, most entertaining shows for young children that we have ever presented at the N.A.C.!

A stunning success
Tania Miller, Conductor, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
One of the best family shows we have ever presented.
Michael Hall, Conductor, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra
This show engaged orchestra and audience alike. The musicians were so taken with the show that they spontaneously joined in the fun. Kids and parents left the hall with big smiles.
Michael Aze, General Manager, Victoria Symphony
The children at the concert were ecstatic throughout the show. My own two year old son cried when the music stopped. He just wanted more. From a conductor's point of view this was a great experience. Judy & David are very professional, and so much fun to work with. The musicians and I laughed throughout the entire presentation. But the best part, was in rehearsal. David has such a sense of humour that at one point the whole orchestra was in tears from laughing so much. This was a unique and memorable experience. I hope I have a chance to do this show again.
Stéphane Potvin, Conductor in residence, Orchestra London
It was one of the most accessible shows for kids that I've ever known and definitely a huge hit with young kids. I couldn't believe how excited all the kids were, having so much fun, and more impressively, how they sang along to every song!
Ken Hsieh, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
It's fresh, original, exciting, entertaining and educational and it is now available for bookings across North America. It is perfect for any orchestra that is interested in reaching out to children and young families... and that would like to keep them coming back!AWARD WINNING MUSIC: Symphonic Adventure is based on the music of Canadian sing-along superstars, Judy & David. They are one of the highest selling children's recording acts in the world, with millions of recordings in over a dozen countries. Their 12 recordings have received some of the industry's highest honours including the Juno Award (Canadian equivalent of the Grammy) and the Parent's Choice Gold Award. Billboard Magazine has called them "Hands down, the freshest, most inventive children's music duo working today."
INTERACTIVE: Forget everything you know about "audience participation". This show takes it to an entirely new level with the audience becoming an integral part of the action. There is something fun and exciting for the audience to do in each and every song presented. More imporatantly, the audience helps Judy & David solve musical clues that lead them to recovering Judy & David's magic baton. The orchestra, the conductor, everybody gets involved in this musical adventure.
AN EXCITING STORY: Minutes before the show, someone has stolen Davids magic conductors baton! It must have been the criminal mastermind, Alfred Tonal. But Mr. A. Tonal is nowhere to be found and the show must go on! Judy suggests conducting with a piece of wet spaghetti. David suggests a rubber chicken. Nothing works. The only solution is to follow the clues and, with everybodys help, get the magic baton back where it belongs! A clue says to look for a high instrument. David takes out his measuring tape and begins to make his way through the orchestra when Judy sets him straight. David and the audience learn about the range of the instruments, and, sure enough, the piccolo player has the next clue.
A FABULOUS SCORE: Arranged by Juno-award winning composer and producer, Lance Anderson, orchestras have praised the score as a cut above the usual children's fare. Rather than using the orchestra as mearly a background to Judy & David, Lance has created a richly textured score which puts the orchestra front and centre. In "Big Old Car", the orchestra becomes all of the various sounds of a big old noisy car. In "Rainbow Waiting for Me", the orchestra expresses the drama of a child's hopes and dreams. Added to these original arrangements are excerpts from Strauss, Beethoven, Bizet and others.
Judy & David's Symphonic Adventure is an hour of pure fun... it's a zany, high-energy musical family adventure. Judy & David bring the orchestra alive for young children by making them (and their parents!) part of the action from the very first moment. In fact, theyll have such a good time they may not even realise how much they have learned!
